Brand History and Description –
LG Corporation, formerly known as Lucky Goldstar, is a reputable multinational conglomerate corporation from South Korea. It is the 4th largest chaebol from South Korea. Headquartered in LG Twin Towers building in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, LG is known for making electronics, telecom products and chemicals and operates various subsidiaries like LG Electronics, LG Display, Zenith, LG Chem and LG Uplus in more than 80 countries. LG Corp. was established as the Lak-Hui Chemical Industrial Corp. way back in 1947. Later in 1952, Lak-Hui became first Korean firm to enter plastics industry. As LG expanded its plastic manufacturing business, it came up in 1958 with GoldStar Co. Ltd. (which is currently the LG Electronics Inc.). The companies Lucky and GoldStar then merged together and gave rise to Lucky Goldstar.
